Tree Passport registration

Designed to be excellent on a phone in the field: about five minutes per tree.

  1. 1

    GPS point

Capture the trunk position; duplicates are screened.

  2. 2

    Species

Pilot species picker, or enter another species.

  3. 3

    Age, health & measurements

Planting year, condition, DBH and height.

  4. 4

    Photographs

Trunk and canopy — the baseline for future inspections.

  5. 5

    Parcel link & custodian

Attach to a Land Passport where one exists.

  6. 6

    Declarations

    Truthfulness, verification consent, no-rights acknowledgement.

Before you register

  • Trees can be registered before their parcel is verified; the link carries the parcel's current status.
  • A Tree Passport records identity and condition — sponsorship, if offered, conveys recognition only.
  • Public tree locations are generalised to ~100 m.
